Double-sided placemat in water-repellent fabric, with a story that connects water, territory, and food.
On one side, the fisherman: fishing is one of the oldest forms of relationship between people and water in Colombia. Along coasts, rivers, and wetlands, it has been fundamental to the nutrition and daily life of many communities. In the Caribbean, the Pacific, and basins like the Magdalena and the Cauca, fishing is sustained collectively, keeping alive ways of inhabiting the water and deep ties to the territory.
On the other, the fish: a reflection of the richness and diversity of the country's aquatic ecosystems. Each species, whether from the sea or the river, speaks of a different landscape, of saltwater or freshwater, of currents, tides, and natural cycles. They are an essential food in Colombian cuisine and part of traditions passed down from generation to generation, bringing the flavor of the territory to the table.
A design that connects nature and culture, inviting us to recognize the origin of what we eat and to be grateful for what the water provides.
